Reorder points, safety stock, and rules

Each tracked item can carry one rule with these fields:

• Reorder point — when on-hand stock is at or below this number, the item is flagged low. Rough guide: how much you sell during a supplier lead time, plus a buffer.
• Safety stock — the buffer inside your reorder point that covers demand spikes and late deliveries.
• Reorder qty — a fixed amount to order each time. Leave blank to use Max level instead, which orders enough to top back up to that level.
• MOQ — your supplier's minimum order quantity. Suggested order quantities never go below it.
• Supplier & lead time — the Xero contact the PO goes to. No supplier mapped = no PO can be drafted for that item.
• Snooze until — pause monitoring for seasonal items; the rule stays but no alerts fire until the date passes.

To stop monitoring an item entirely, clear its reorder point and save. To change many items at once, use CSV import/export.
